An electrical contractor website designed to elevate an established business and support its expansion into solar
I started working with Trent Electrical as the business was preparing for its next stage of growth.
Its existing website had served the business well, but the team was ready to raise its profile online. Alongside an increased focus on solar installation, Trent needed a digital presence that reflected the scale of its capabilities and supported its ambitions to attract larger projects.
The project coincided with a refinement and expansion of the company’s branding, including its application across van livery.
The website needed to bring that direction together, presenting a more established, confident business while making it easier for prospective customers to find the right service and enquire.

The challenge
Trent Electrical needed its website to communicate the full scope of the business.
Its expertise spans residential, commercial and industrial electrical work, with different customers bringing very different requirements. A homeowner considering solar panels needs a different introduction from a business looking for a contractor to deliver a complex electrical installation.
The website had to make those routes clear while giving visitors confidence in the team behind the work.
There was also a positioning challenge. Trent wanted to be recognised as an established electrical contractor with the capability to serve household names and recognised brands. The presentation needed to reflect that ambition while retaining the approachable, personal service at the heart of the business.
Alongside this, solar installation needed a more prominent place within the website, supported by a straightforward way for interested homeowners to explore costs.
A stronger identity, supported by the work behind it
I carried the updated branding through the website to create a consistent identity across Trent’s online presence and its vehicles.
Clear service and sector pages give visitors a route into the information relevant to their project, while photography and project content help demonstrate the team’s capabilities.
The project portfolio brings together work ranging from a Birmingham brewery and hospitality venue to an office electrical and data installation and a high-end residential property. These examples give prospective customers a clearer understanding of the environments Trent works in and the scope of projects it can undertake.
The aim was to make the business’s experience visible, giving people useful evidence to consider before making an enquiry.
Built around local search
Local SEO was an important part of the project.
Trent needed to reach people searching for specific electrical and solar services across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, including those who had not previously heard of the business.
I structured the website around individual services, giving each a dedicated page and a clear focus. This provided a foundation for targeting relevant service and location searches, with content that helps visitors understand what Trent offers once they arrive.
The focus was on attracting relevant enquiries: connecting someone searching for a particular service with information that answers their questions and a clear next step.
We were recommended Georgia by a close friend to design our new website and provide ongoing website management, and the results have been first class. Georgia consistently delivers updates with precision, professionalism and a clear understanding of our business requirements. We would thoroughly recommend her to any business looking for reliable, high-quality website design, development and ongoing support.

Making the first step into solar straightforward
For homeowners considering solar, understanding the likely cost is an important part of deciding whether to take the conversation further.
I built an instant solar quote tool directly into the website to support that early research.
Visitors can choose between solar panels alone, panels with battery storage, or a combined solar, battery and EV charging setup, then progress through the quote journey to receive an initial price for their chosen options.
The surrounding solar content explains the installation process, introduces battery storage and outlines what customers can expect from survey through to setup and handover.
Together, the information and quote tool are designed to help visitors understand their options, explore potential costs and approach Trent with a clearer idea of what they are looking for.
The website gives the business a practical way to support its solar ambitions, alongside a stronger platform for its established electrical services.
